- Ronaldo Vieira - Owner/Soccer and Fitness Instructor
My passion for soccer has inspired me to achieve many things throughout my life. I have been playing the beautiful game for as long as I can remember. my childhood dream was to become a professional soccer player. Fortunately, I was able to make my dream a reality, but it wasn't easy. Moving to the United states, from Brazil, at twelve years old, was the first obstacle to overcome. New country, new culture, new language, new people, everything was different. Luckily, I was young enough that it made it easier to adapt than it would have been if I were older. The move to the U.S. kept me away from playing the game I love for a year. I gained a lot of weight and my parents were concerned about my health at such a young age. After a year of living in the US, we were learning how things worked here and adapting to the culture as well. I was able to join a soccer team shortly after and it was all uphill from there, for the most part. Winning many championships, going from 222 lbs. to 172 lbs. in 10 months, earning a full scholarship to a Division I school, and overcoming an ACL tear were some of the highlights of my journey to becoming a professional soccer player. I joined the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and enjoyed my time there thoroughly. There, I made many friends, learned a lot more about the beautiful game, I even got to play with and against world-class players like Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, Claudio Bravo and many others. Last but not least, I must say that none of these things would have been accomplished without the help of my family and friends. My soulmate, Jamie, my daughter, Mila, my son, Giovanni Ronaldo, my parents and also idols, Delba and Ronaldo, my sister, Aline and her family, and of course my best friends were and still all are immense support and motivation along this journey. Now it’s time to take all I have learned and experienced to help others achieve their goals!"
"Personal Best Performance and Fitness is a project I have had for many years but only now I am able to execute it. Upon playing professional soccer for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and finishing the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) personal training course it was time to share my experience with others and make sure they achieve their goals.
I know how challenging being fit can be, but I also know how rewarding it is. I have done the transition of being overweight to being fit myself, so I know what and when to focus on during the transition. My goal is to not only make people healthier and happier, but to help them achieve their personal best.
With many years of playing and coaching youth, high school, collegiate, and professional soccer I will also help anyone that is interested in improving any and all parts of his or her game. The 1-on-1 and small group training sessions will ensure a competitive edge that all soccer players are looking to gain.
